Depot and Church Downtown Satellite Gallery

March 6, 2020

Brought to you by the Lyndonville Downtown Revitalization Group.

The Satellite Gallery VT opened in July 2019 with the help from a KTA Community grant and support from NVU-Lyndon. It was designed as a community and event space that would enhance the creative economy of the NEK and provide some artistic projects to benefit all. The Satellite has held 7 monthly shows featuring Vermont artists. Visitors from all over have stopped in to see the shows.

Open Mic nights and Singer Songwriter nights have featured local musicians and NVU-Lyndon music majors.

The Satellite Gallery and Community space is at 71 Depot Street in Downtown Lyndonville.  The windows are always lighted and displays change regularly. There are First Friday Art Openings each month attracting community for wine, snacks and great art.

Bi monthly life drawing classes are held on Tuesday for $10 to pay for the model. All are welcome and encouraged to drop in.

The first of many community dinners was held before the Catamount Arts performance focusing on immigration stories. Dinner was a Middle Eastern Feast provided by the Spice Box.

The 7 elementary schools of Kingdom East Supervisory are having a gallery show for the month of February with lantern making workshops for kids and adults to get ready for our annual Lantern Parade in Lyndon in March 5th.

March will feature a juried show called “Magic of Light” with classic films being shown every Wednesday night with the help from NVU- Lyndon Animation and Fine Arts.

Follow on Facebook at The Satellite VT and on Instagram.

The NVU-Lyndon Graphics Department should have the website ready soon!
Additional help has been provided by Community National Bank, Burklyn Arts Council, and Passumpsic Bank.

Vermont State Treasurer, Mike Pieciak, speaks at the 2025 Outdoor Recreation Day at the Statehouse
By Abby Long February 13, 2025
KT is taking action—on the trails and in the Statehouse! This 2025 Legislative Session, KT is teaming up with other amazing trail organizations through the Vermont Trails & Greenway Council, to advocate for H.147 a bill to establish the Recreational Trails Compensation Study. Why does this matter? Vermont’s outdoor recreation economy generates $2.1B annually, nearly 5% of the state’s GDP, that's 2nd in the nation after Hawaii (Go VT!) KT alone drives $10M in economic impact annually. Therefore, the state must recognize and incentivize these generous private landowners, including the 106 who make KT possible and allow public access to trails.
