Stay on the trail, follow markers
Ski, fat bike, and snowshoe at your own risk
Plan ahead and be properly prepared
Stay to the outside of trail corners and look for oncoming traffic
Dogs are only allowed on Village Trails and at Dashney Nordic Center, with some exeptions (see insets on map)
Please leash and clean up after your dog
Park only in designated KTA parking lots
Leave No Trace
No walking or running without snowshoes
Respect any and all trail closures
East Haven trails closed to winter use
WHILE SHARING THE SNOWMOBILE TRAILS:
Stay to far right of trail, ride single file, yield to snowmobiles
Use caution when out at night; be visible and use lights
Be friendly and courteous
Consider donating to VAST trail grooming and maintenance efforts
NORDIC RULES
No fat bikes on Nordic trails
Snowshoes permitted (microspikes permitted in icy conditions)
Ski in control
Descending skiers have the right of way
FAT BIKE RULES
No fat bikes on Nordic trails
Use designated fat bike trails only
Allow the trail to set up after grooming and before riding or
as temperatures and conditions permit
Bike tires must be wider than 3.5"
Helmets required
DO NOT RIDE ON THE GROOMED TRAIL IF:
You are leaving a tire rut deeper than one inch
You are having a hard time riding in a straight line
Your bike’s tire pressure is greater than 10psi
KTA reserves the right to close trails/prohibit fat bikes due
to temperatures and conditions
