COVID-19 Policy
Health
- Always staying home and away from others if you are sick with COVID-19, have recently been exposed to someone who has COVID-19, experiencing flu like symptoms, or just don’t feel well.
- Keeping a 6ft distance from others when you meet people other than who you have been quarantined with.
- Frequently wash your hands, hand sanitizer is acceptable when soap and water are not available.
- Coughing and sneezing into your elbow, even if you are wearing a facial covering.
- You must wear a facial covering over your nose and mouth anytime you know others may be present.
- Prioritize protecting those at higher risk for severe illness.
Parking
- Only park and access trails at designated KTA parking lots.
- If you are unable to maintain a 6 foot distance from other trail users, wear a mask.
- If the parking lot is full you must go to another lot.
- Groups may not congregate before or after activities, for example, no tailgating.
- You must wear a facial covering over your nose and mouth when in a parking lot.
Bathrooms
- KTA will offer a public restrooms behind the Welcome Center building and at the Village Sport Shop Trailside parking area.
- Masks must be worn at all times when in a building.
- Please know all restroom facilities will be regularly cleaned and disinfected in accordance with VDH/CDC guidelines.
- Bring your own hand sanitizer or alcohol swabs.
On the Trail
- Recreate only with people with whom you have been in quarantine.
- Recreate within your limits to avoid injury.
- Do not congregate at trail heads, intersections, parking lots,
- Avoid steep and tight trails where stepping off to avoid people may be risky or impossible.
- You must have a face mask ready if you hit a pinch point in the trail with another user or must navigate a crowded trailhead before you disperse.
- Travel single file, even on wide trails.
- Stay 6 ft. away or 2 bike lengths away from others. Stay out of other people’s contrails and give each other as much space as possible.
- Everyone should yield first and then figure out how to pass each other safely while keeping distance.
- Communicate clearly and with patience to decide on a safe place to pass with each other.

Can I Recreate at Kingdom Trails?
- Yes, if you are feeling healthy.
- Yes, if you abide by Vermont's Cross State Travel restrictions.
- Yes, if you have read and will abide by KTA’s COVID19 Opening Policy.
- Please purchase a KTA Membership online and in advance.
Where am I allowed to Park?
- Check out the list of current designated parking locations.
Where am I NOT allowed to park?
- Anywhere that is not a designated KTA parking location.
I’m a local, can I hop on the trails from my house?
- Yes! We trust our loyal locals. You are welcome to access the trails from your house.
How do I Purchase a KTA Membership?
- You may purchase a Membership online and in advance of your visit or visit our COVID-19 safe Welcome Center Window.
- You must also sign the KTA Waiver online and in advance as well.
- We are proud to offer a 33% off NEK Resident Discount for Individual & Family Annual Memberships!
- If you have a VMBA Membership please purchase a full priced membership and then email us a copy of your VMBA receipt and we will reimburse your 20% discount.
- If you work for an organization that usually purchases your Membership, but hasn’t yet, please purchase a membership and once the reciprocal program has begun, we will reimburse you.
- If you have a KTA gift voucher email a photo of the voucher, name and mailing address and we will send you a Membership sticker.
- If you are over 70 you can receive a free Annual Membership by emailing us a copy of your ID and mailing address!
