Although trails are closed for the season, that doesn’t mean the work stops! The 12-member volunteer KT Board of Directors met for their annual Board Retreat on Sunday, November 5th, at the DoNorth CoWork Space in Lyndonville. Fueled throughout the full day by Freighthouse and Mosaic, it was an extremely positive and productive day dedicated to the future planning of Kingdom Trails.
Cynthia Stuart of Stuart Consulting led the KT Board through team bonding, board roles and responsibilities, and continued our Strategic Framework process. Many of KT’s stakeholders; landowners, trail enthusiasts, and local community members and businesses, have been invited to participate in focus group meetings, plus participated in KT’s recent online survey to define the organization’s goals, measure performance against our mission, foster organizational alignment, and ignite inspiration! Findings from this community engagement were presented by Cynthia to the Board.
Throughout this planning process, KT’s intention has been to analyze and emphasize the various facets that constitute Kingdom Trails in its ongoing development and growth. Four ‘Crowning’ Principles have emerged from this pre-planning research. These focal areas were the foundation of the Board’s discussions and deliberations;
Cynthia will now be compiling the Board’s feedback on strategies to guide us through the next year. Once organized, she will be bringing these overarching goals to the KT Leadership Team to brainstorm action items to reach these objectives. As soon as 2024 comes, KT will be able to hit the ground running, implementing for success!
We look forward to sharing what we come up with and are grateful to all our stakeholders who have been instrumental in crafting our future. Learn more about the KT Board of DIrectors
