KTA Mini Grant Program

Mission:

The mission of the Kingdom Trail Association is to provide recreation and education opportunities by managing, maintaining, and building trails to foster the health of our local community, surrounding environment, and regional economy.

We strive to accomplish this mission by offering a 100+ miles of quality, non-motorized, multi-use trails for all levels of ability, conserving the natural diversity and heritage of Vermont’s Northeast Kingdom through collaboration and stewardship.

What makes our communities and trail network one of the greatest destinations in North America are the generous landowners who allow Kingdom Trails to manage and maintain trails through their beautiful properties. Nowhere else are there 94 continuous private landowners with the foresight to make this network what it is today. Our landowners play a key role in vitalizing our region, providing a quality experience, and healthy outlet for local residents and visitors.

Purpose:

The Kingdom Trail Association introduces our KTA Mini Grant program. The purpose of the KTA Mini Grant program is to provide funding for projects that will advance the mission of Kingdom Trails while expressing our gratitude to the communities that host us.

Kingdom Trails hopes that our new Mini Grant program will help highlight and advance valuable local endeavors that focus on projects that promote one or more of the following KTA objectives:

  • Recreation, Health & Wellness
  • Education & Training
  • Environmental Stewardship
  • Economic Viability
  • Heritage & Culture
  • Creative Arts

The KTA Mini Grant program will award funds to projects in Burke, East Haven, Kirby, and Lyndonville that further our mission, increase the capabilities and capacity of other local organizations and groups, focus on developing a sustainable economy, as well as aim to improve the quality of life for people in our community.
