We are lucky enough to have a large part of our trail network built on a glacial esker- which is a big sand deposit. This means that they drain really quickly and that we do not have to close them when they are wet. So the Darling Hill network stays open at all times.
The “mountain side” trails on the KT network do not handle the moisture as well so we do close them during very wet periods.
Check out the Trailhub app on the right side of this page for up to the minute openings, closures and conditions.
