The CircumBurke loop is based on a loop of linked trails in Victory, Kirby and East Burke which go around Burke and Umpire Mountains. Expect this circuit to become an officially incorporated into the Kingdom Trails network soon!

The 2014 CircumBurke parcours wil be approximately 25 miles featuring at least 3000 feet of climbing.  The CircumBurke Mountain Run and CircumBurke 16 versions cover 18 miles cutting out the middle section of singletrack in Victory but still climb more than 2000+ feet.

In 2014, the event will begins at Belmont Stock Farm on Ridge Road in Kirby (NOT AT Q- BURKE Mt. Resort). Turns up Locust Ridge Road and entering a V.A.S.T trail heading southwards until intersecting with Bennett Road.  Go left on Bennett, it will turn left and slog upwards and eastwards over Burke Mountain’s west shoulder on a very steep snowmobile, jeep trail.  At the top of this “pass” at approximately 2000 feet elevation, the route joins the “CCC Trail” and becomes a Class IV Road (“Masten Rd.”). After a steep descent into Victory, the route turns left and heads northwards over the Weir Mill Brook Trail on Vermont State Land before entering an 8 mile maze of rarely ridden singletracks on Victory Hill, where the course is marked. After a major climb, and the Victory Hill trails, the route returns to northwards East Burke via the “gold trail”  along Umpire Brook to the east of Umpire Mountain, entering the Kingdom Trails system along the the North Pasture Trail before passing to PInkham Rd., Parrs Yard and on the Shire trail to the main parking lot of Burke Mountain. The final leg of the route will take participants back to the Belmont Stock Farm via Red Trail and Kirby Connector.


Registration starts at Bikereg on August 14th. Field Limit: 400 cyclists and 200 runners.  $45 if you register before September 30th or $55 before 10/24 at noon. Also you can at the Kingdom Trail on 10/24 until closing time to avoid the race day registration of $65.

Directions: Please notice that the CircumBurke 2013 Start/ Finish will be at the Belmont Stock Farm, 1268 Kirby Road, East Burke (about 1.5 miles from the Kingdom Trails Office).  Head towards the ski mountain on Mountain Rd., take the first right onto Kirby Rd., and travel 1.2 miles..   Tent and festivities will be on the left hand side of the road.
